Ambition I want to educate young kids who stay in slums like Kamwokya and help them achieve their dreams.

Hobbies I love sports and singing, mostly on Sunday, in church. I led my class in a singing competition last term.

My story

“I am 10-years-old. I have two brothers and one sister. I am the youngest. I stay with my Dad in Kifumbira slum. My Mum rarely comes home. She travels to Sudan to buy and sell used clothes at markets. I do not like staying in Kamwokya because it is too crowded and there are many people.

I was studying at Kisugu Primary School in Namuwongo, Kampala. My father was paying my fees. My father works as a mason. But many times he did not have work, so I was kept out of school most of the time.

My brother Katongole Godfrey, who is sponsored by L.E.A.D Uganda, talked to L.E.A.D about me. He showed them my report cards, which were excellent because I have always maintained my number one position in school. I was interviewed and accepted. I go to school at Budo Junior. I am in 4th grade. I am the number one student in my class. I want to join Kings College Budo for high school. I believe it’s the best high school. I am working hard so I can get in.

I want to be a doctor. I want to educate young kids who stay in slums like Kamwokya and help them achieve their dreams.”
