My story
“My Dad was killed in a rock slide at the quarry. I live in Acholi Quarters with my Mum, my step-dad and four siblings. We all stay in the two room house our step dad rents. I am the first born. My Mum just had another child with our step-dad.
My brother and I studied but we were always sent home for not paying fees, especially after the death of our father. I am in the 3rd grade because I missed so much school. I work in a rock quarry every day to help pay my fees and buy school books.
I was so happy that L.E.A.D Uganda visited the Acholi Quarters and came to our home. They took me and my brother to stay with them in a better house. I now attend St. John Bosco Katende.
I am so happy that my brother and I are going to be important people in future.
