Our scholars need school fees, books, and school supplies. This requires money. We spend approximately $1,800 a year — $150 a month— per student. This amount covers everything: school fees at a top boarding school, books and school supplies, clothing, shoes, food, transportation, a place to stay during school breaks (our children are orphans), academic and leadership workshops, and staff support.
• $150 a month -- $1,800 a year -- pays all costs for one student. We pay their school fees at boarding schools. We buy their books, school supplies, school uniforms, clothes, and shoes. We provide medical care, transport, and emotional support to our traumatized children. We feed and house most of our students during school breaks since they do not have enough to eat at home. Our students -- AIDS orphans, child soldiers, child laborers, and kids from refugee camps -- require more support and tutoring. Our students receive intensive tutoring from teachers. They attend workshops in web design, video, photography, writing, and leadership during school breaks.
• $100 a month -- $1,200 a year -- pays tuition, room, and board, books, and uniform at one of the best schools in Uganda. Most of our students attend the very best schools where tuition is higher. Half of our high school scholars go to the top dozen schools in Uganda, where they sit next to the offspring of cabinet ministers.

Please consider making a donation of $100 or $150 a month for a year to guarantee one of these children the educational and psychological support they need to recover and flourish. In return for a total care donation, you will receive a photograph of your sponsored child, and regular school updates.
Uganda, a land locked country, was hit hard by rising gas and food prices. School fees rose 17% in 2008. To make matters worse, the dollar continues to decline. Our costs rose more than 25% in 2008 due to these two factors.
